April with CAB
To end March, Campus Activities Board (CAB) had a successful Mario Kart Night event. Over 100 people came, rode go karts, enjoyed hot dogs from the Dogfather, and had a few laughs. This event was great and the turnout was awesome as well. CAB would like to thank Party People for coming and bringing the go kart course.
Next, CAB will also have a team at Relay for Life. Relay for Life is Friday April 6 from 6 p.m.-12 a.m. Visit the CAB table to enter a raffle, hang out with us and do a theme related ac- tivity. This will be a fun night and all of the proceeds go to an amazing cause. The theme for Relay for Life is “Under the Sea.”
The next event CAB will host is DIY night. This event is Saturday April 7 at 9 p.m. in Charlie’s. Come make your own cactus, specialized tea, and mason jar tumblers. There will be cookie decorating as well, so bring your sweet tooth.
Also, on April 9, from11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., there will be a Make Your Own Plant event. This will be located outside between Charlie’s and Tsotsis building. There will be free lemonade, tea, iced coffee, and raffles. Come enjoy the weather and get ready for spring with Emily and Michelle.
After that, Spring Ball will be on Friday, April 13. The theme for this event is “Under the Stars.” Maggie and Kara have been working hard to plan centerpieces, coordinate with the DCU center and design giveaways for all students that attend. Buses will leave between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. If you miss the bus, then you cannot attend. Transportation leaving the DCU Center will begin at 10 p.m.
If you are 21, the DCU does not accept out of state ID’s to purchase alcohol. The acceptable forms of identification are a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License, a valid Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Liquor Purchase ID, a valid US Passport Book or Card or a valid US Military Green Active Service ID Card. This event will have a DJ and more fun activities, so come excited and ready to dance.
CAB will also be helping out at Duck Day and will have a table in Charlie’s on Thursday April 19 during the common hour. At this table, students can write letters to Beni students to show their support and compassion.
The next event for CAB is on Friday, April 20, from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. in Charlie’s. This event will feature a comedian and there will be finger foods and brownie bites at the event. Come ready to laugh because this will be a great performance. This performer was booked at the National Association for Campus Activities Conference, so many CAB executives got to see this come- dian perform firsthand.
Last, but not least, CAB will host Spring Concert on Monday April 30, the last day of classes. This event will begin at 8 p.m. and will be located in Plourde Recreation Center. This will be a fun filled event that will extend Pup Cup one more day. More details about ticket sales and the performer will be coming out soon, but be ready.
