In a previous editorial section of Le Provocateur, an editorial criticized my views about the war in Iraq. The information I brought forth about who was funding the major peace protests was challenged, claiming that I was calling the peace protesters communists. I would like to remind those who wrote the article that I said many who took part in the protests probably did not even know who was funding the major protests. Maybe if they had known they would have taken part in a peace protest somewhere else.

I won't mention the names of those who wrote the articles in this editorial because I, unlike them, have class. If the reader wants to find out who wrote that article, they may check in a previous issue of the Provoc.

Well enough criticizing those who wrote that article. I would like to reflect on the historical events we have seen in the past few weeks. Americans once again have seen their military topple an oppressive regime and free an oppressed people. Seeing the statue of Saddam fall reminded me of seeing the fall of the Berlin Wall when I was a little kid.

We are also seeing those who opposed war and made statements claiming that American armed forces who be met with a battlefield disaster especially inside Baghdad have been proven obviously wrong. They claimed the military would suffer many casualties and in reality the military has suffered very few.

Also, we are beginning to uncover the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq proving that we had a legitimate reason to go into Iraq in the first place. America should be proud of its President who stuck to his guns no matter what the political opposition in this country or the opposition in the international community. Bush did what he thought was right no matter what other people said and whatever peace protestors say, Bush has freed an oppressed people.
