Oh how I love fall; such crisp air and the beautiful turning of leaves. This time of year lets me know that the much anticipated holidays are on their way! Can you believe that it is only October and the department stores are already playing Jingle Bells? I love it! But... I do have to admit I don't love it as much as I love CAB!

The Cabbies have been so busy the last few weeks; there has been something for everyone's flavor! On Tuesday, October 5th, the Assumption Community got together for an official Town Meeting. The Vice Presidential debate was aired live in Laska and following was an awesome debate aired live on 96.9 FM. Remember to vote on Tuesday, November 2nd.

Two great movies came to Assumption and only one cool club that showed them both on the big screen. Yup, that's right, the films Spiderman 2 and Anchorman. Some lucky people walked away with Spidey posters that evening, and I know that all the people who left empty handed were very envious. That's why you gotta get with CAB, so you don't miss out on the good times.

Last Wednesday, October 13th, I hope everyone hopped on board the Nina and landed at "X Marks the Spot" in Charlie's. No silly, the winner of the free X box did not have to sail with Christopher Columbus; all he or she had to do was play video games. This daytime novelty was probably one of the coolest things I have seen yet. You kick back and play video games as long as you want and if you played, you got entered in a raffle to win a free X box and game. Who could ask for more??? Don't fret-there is tons more to come!

On Thursday, October 21st, the Live @ Charlie's subcommittee is having the band Eden Row play starting at 8:00 p.m. Location? Look no further then Charlie's. The band is spectacular and listen up to the tunes playing in Charlie's earlier in the week to get a sneak preview of what is to come.

What is black and white and red all over? A newspaper! I promise you if you come to the Pub on Friday, October 22nd to see Comedian Becky Donohue at 10:00 p.m., then her jokes are one hundred times better then mine. She is so fabulous that she is going to knock your socks off! Ok, I promise to stop the corny jokes and clichés now. But, if you do know someone that is very funny or would be interested in seeing come to Assumption, then seek out Mike Consolazio. Mike is the Comedy Executive for CAB and is always looking for fresh ideas; stop by the office or come by on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm for a CAB meeting.
