What's that noise I hear? Yeah, that's right; people are cheering more, more, more and what they really mean is more CAB! Your votes were cast, tallied, and now we are giving you even more! The semester is not slowing down; in fact, it's speeding up. The CAB is speeding up and all the Cabbies are inside switching gears. That's right, if it wasn't for the greatest set of Cabbies, then we wouldn't be so much fun!
Last Thursday, October 21st, Live at Charlie's had the spectacular band Eden Row. I hope you had a chance to row your boat down to Charlie's and see this awesome punk rock band. If you missed it, here is a visual: a great band singing Sum 41 & Blink 182. I don't know about you, since it was such an awesome band, but I would not suggest missing our next one. Barry Kingston & the Screaming Souls are coming on Thursday, November 11th at 8:30 p.m. in Charlie's. Don't worry; there won't be any screaming, haha.
Last Friday, October 22nd, the Pub featured comedian Becky Donahue in Charlie's. It was good times and many laughs were shared. I hope you all got to eat the wonderful mailbox stuffer eyeballs. Don't fester; Michael Dean Ester is coming on Monday, November 8th at 8:00 p.m. in Charlie's. This comedian calls himself the "eternal college student," and was rated as the "2003 Comedian of the Year" by Campus Activities Magazine. I hope to see you there!
A controversial topic and a controversial movie: Fahrenheit 9/11. The people felt the heat in their seats yesterday, Tuesday, October 26th. After the movie, the viewers enjoyed pizza and intellectual discussion. Some faculty, staff, and administration attended, and it was such a great turn out. Thank to those who came!
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 28th come down to Charlie's for some thrilling and spine-chilling Stage Fright: Open Mic. An eventful night of eight acts starts at 7:30 p.m. and there will be a cash prize of 50 bucks for the best costume. So come down in your best Halloween dress, preferably not your birthday suit!
