Welcome to the wonderful world of the Campus Activities Board. This issue of the Provoc is a bit different and really exciting. Below is a picture of our CAB community. Along with this picture is an update on what to look forward to in the future!
If you want to be part of this group, then you should definitely come on down to the Student Activities room at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday evening. Every week we have new and exciting things that we do and this could be you!
A huge and amazing event that CAB is excited about on Wednesday, February 23rd is Comedian Robbie Printz. Come at 8:00 p.m. in Charlie's because his performance is a reminder of childhood wonders and adulthood absurdities. His act has been known to be "delivered with high energy and a fast pace that keeps audiences laughing from start to finish."
Do you think you are laugh worthy? Do you really think you're funny? Then prove it! Enter the AC Comedy ring and have your chance to get hit the big time in. Sign up in the CAB office by February 18th, and the event is pending on how many people sign up! You know what that means; tell your favorite clown to come down and sign up so they have a chance to win some awesome prizes. Laughter is a gift; make them spread it.
Umpa, dumpa, duppity- doo! I've got another secret for you! Yea, that's right, Siblings Weekend 2005: Willy Wonka and the Assumption Factory is coming
to AC February 25th to the 27th. Sign up those little ones for the best sugar high they are going to get! The amazing trio of Siblings Weekend executives: Kristen Griswold, Allison Depasse, Adam Landry and their subcommittee have been working really hard to make that weekend a special treat.
"Wherever You Will Go," Assumption's Spring Ball is on April 2nd at the Holiday Inn. Ball ticket sales are coming up, so don't miss it. Seniors can buy their tickets on Monday, February 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Laska lobby. Then juniors can buy their tickets on Tuesday, March 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Laska lobby as well. The tickets are $20 each and you are allowed to buy two tickets per ID and you are allowed 2 ID's. Don't to forget to mark your calendars!
Equalogy. You don't know what it is, well that is fine. It is an interactive theater group that goes around to college campuses to talk about serious topics like acquaintance rape. Luckily, Assumption has been able to get them to come to our campus on March 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the Hagan Campus Center Hall. The Student Development & Counseling Center, Student Activities, and I have been working hard to make it great.
Like what you hear? Then come on down to our meetings on Wednesdays. It is a great way to meet new people and get some really great entertainment on campus. You know that you want your picture on CAB's website! We hope to see you there!
