The Barber's Crossing restaurant in Sterling, Massachusetts provides a large selection of food along with a friendly atmosphere and quality service. The restaurant is conveniently located on Route 12 near I-190 Exit 6 in Sterling. Open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week, and closing as late as 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Barber's Crossing is always a welcoming place. Owned by the Wallace family, the restaurant has been serving Worcester County for more than 25 years.
Barber's Crossing delivers high-quality food and drink at affordable prices, all in an old-fashioned Colonial setting. The restaurant offers a wide selection of appetizers, including chicken wings, New York style buffalo wings, onion rings, nachos, deep fried calamari, jumbo shrimp, and fettuccini alfredo, all between the low prices of $2.50 and $6.25. The menu also features several kinds of soups, including lobster bisque, clam chowder, and the Barber's Crossing onion soup. I got the lobster bisque when I went, and it was scrumptious.
Barber's Crossing also has a very good reputation for its quality of seafood. It serves such dishes as broiled scrod, fried clam dinner, shrimp scampi, New Orleans style haddock, and seafood alfredo at prices from $7.45 to $10.95. It also offers various "Seafood Casseroles," including Shrimp Casserole, Seafood Casserole, and Lobster Pie that range from $6.45 to $10.95.
The burgers and sandwiches are definitely great too. Generously sized and situated anywhere between the cheap prices of $3.45 and $4.95, the burgers won't leave you hungry. Cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, Cajun burgers, Italian burgers, and Mexican burgers are all possibilities in this area. Likewise, the "Super Sandwiches" are all practically priced from $3.15 to $9.45. Options include Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast, Chicken Parmigiana, Turkey Croissant, Hot Pastrami, Montecristo, Tuna Salad, Clam Roll, and Lobster Roll.
The heart of the Barber's Crossing menu lies in its "Stockyard" and "Barnyard" meals. The "Stockyard" includes such delicious items as Filet Mignon, Tenderloin Tips, Steak Teriyaki, Porter House Steak, and Prime Rib, all priced below $15.95. The "Barnyard" is filled with many satisfying possibilities as well. I had the Chicken Parmigiana when I visited, and it was awesome. Other possibilities include the Cajun Chicken Breast Dinner, Chicken Scampi, Sautéed Chicken and Broccoli, Fried Chicken Breast, and Chicken Alfredo. All of these items range around from the very reasonable prices of $6.95 and $7.45.
