Ice Hockey has ended their regular season at 11-11-3, ending the 04-05 campaign with two tough losses to Curry and UMass Dartmouth. The Hounds still hold the number five seed for the Northeast 10 tourney and will face-off against Franklin Pierce at Buffone Rink on Saturday, February 24th. Senior Captain Scott Hersom has led the way with his 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points. He now has 80 total points for his career in 94 games played. Comeback kid Senior Geno De Angelis has 17 points in 21 games this season including 3 power play goals and two game winners. Franklin Pierce's leading scorer is Senior Forward Jason Pierce with 19 points in 22 games played.

It's playoff time for Women's B-Ball. The Lady Hounds, who finished their season at 13-14, are the number 11 seed and will travel to 6th seeded UMass Lowell. AC lost to Umass 45-51 in the regular season, but this is the one that counts.
"It's do or die," says Coach Kerry Phayre who noted Assumption's keys to success versus the River Hawks. "UMass runs a lot of motion offense so we have to contain and have a better time running the offense."
The winner of this game will face Bentley who is the third seed with a 23-7 record.
Junior Kerry Milhaven led the team in scoring with 11.7 points per game and averages the most minutes with 30.5 per game. Sophomore Jess Paulson has been the most generous this season with her 87 assists (3.2 per game). Freshman Charde Floyd pulled down 227 total rebounds, 160 of those were on the defensive side.
...
Assumption's new Baseball coach Jamie Pinzino has put an emphasis on work ethic to his players. A major goal of the team this season is not to be "out-worked" by the opponent. Pitching and defense will be stressed as well.
Pinzino has spent recent years as an assistant coach at Tufts University and Holy Cross. His playing days were spent at Tufts where he was a three-year starter at third base and the team was the E.C.A.C. champs in his junior and senior years. With this experience, the attitude he has brought to the team, the ability to teach, and the success of "Fall Ball," baseball looks to improve dramatically from last year.
...
Sophomore Sarah Taglienti will return to the Softball team this season after missing her entire freshman year due to injury. The former Bay State League MVP and Boston Globe Division I player of the year will give the Greyhounds a huge boost playing shortstop. With more depth at the catcher position from the arrival of Freshman Korina Salafia, Junior Lisa Castillo will probably move to outfield and give the Hounds more depth in the field and the lineup.
