Last spring, it was announced in a letter and email to the Assumption community that the school's Campus Cash program would be extended to some off-campus locations for the fall of 2008. The email called the program an "extension" to Campus Cash, which is normally used across campus for purchasing meals at Taylor Dining Hall and Charlie's, for purchasing snacks or soda from vending machines and for use of the school's laundry machines.

Fifteen students of Professor Jody Santos' Capstone Seminar in Mass Communications and Writing were recently granted an internship at W.C.U.W. 91.3 FM, a local Worcester radio station which has been a part of the community for almost 35 years. The program is new this semester and has proven to be an incredible success thus far.

So far, the recycling that has been picked up at the school has less contamination than it did last year.

At 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, Assumption College conducted a test of its new emergency warning system. Students, faculty and visitors walking outside on campus heard a series of three alarms, followed by the words, "This is an Assumption College Alert: This is a test of the Assumption College Emergency Warning System.
