This dominant team is lead by the determined coach, Jeremy Bonamo, and senior captain, Paul Murphy. Stuck together on and off the field, the team is starting off with a great season.

With the air of fall floating across the turf of the Assumption Sport's Complex, Hillary Zysk runs briskly across the field, with a field hockey stick in hand. The junior forward is completely focused on the field. Nothing can break her concentration. The majority of her attention is how to weave through the defenders of the other team and score a goal.

As music blares in the background and the rest of the team moves their bodies and sticks to the beat, one girl sits with a vivid game plan in mind. Sarah Ranieri has no pre-game ritual, no superstitious repetitions to follow.
"I have the sense, a good sense of where people are around me and where to put the ball when I am on the field," Ranieri said.

What do you do when you're stuck in the middle of nowhere without the internet or cell phone service for an entire week? Well, if you're the Assumption women's soccer team, you rely solely on each other.
While the rest of the Assumption athletic teams were on campus preparing for their upcoming seasons, the women's soccer team was hard at work teaching 12 to 18-year-old athletes how to sharpen their soccer skills at Camp Merriwood in Orford, New Hampshire.
