Hey everyone. I hope everyone's past couple of weeks have been great. Now that the semester is winding down, don't forget that CAB has some exciting events planned for the rest of the semester. Since we have last met, CAB has had a couple fabulous events. We have had bingo, Spring Concert ticket sales a Spring Ball, and a comedian. On Thursday, March 19 at 8p.m. in Taylor we had our last bingo of the semester. This was definitely a bitter-sweet event for me, as well as for many other seniors, as it will be our last bingo of the semester. (Sorry, I went there seniors). This bingo was the biggest bingo we have had this entire year. There were over 300 people gathered to win some great prizes. This large crowd could be accounted for it being the last bingo of the semester, but it's pretty safe to say that the theme of the bingo is what drew people from near and far. The theme was Ticket Bingo, which means exactly that: tickets were the prizes. There were Six Flag tickets for a raffle, as well as Blue Man Group, Dirty Dancing, Fallout Boy, Britney Spears and Celtics tickets. These prizes were definitely popular based on the amount of enthusiasm there was in Taylor as each number was called. It was definitely a great way to end Special Events with a bang.

We also had Spring Concert ticket sales. I know last time I would tell you guys who the Spring Concert is, but the cat is definitely out of the bag now. This year's Spring Concert is Sara Bareilles with Mat Kearney. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 18. Everyone was definitely excited when this announcement was made a few Friday's ago, but people were even more excited during tickets sales. Ticket Sales were on Friday, March 20 from 12-3p.m. in Hagan Info Booth and Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24 from 12-4p.m. in the Hagan Info Booth. Tickets were sold for $15 a piece to AC students, $20 for Consortium student and $25 for the general public. If you were unable to get tickets during these times, have no fear. Tickets are still on sale and Assumption students can purchase them for $15 from Sara Swillo in the Student Activities Office. I definitely hope to see you all on April 18.

This past Friday, March 27 from 6p.m.-12a.m. at the DCU Center the Spring Ball was held. As you know, the theme for the ball this year was Botanical Ball. The DCU was beautiful, decorated with an array of flowers fitting to the theme, but beyond the beauty of the ball, students gathered with their friends to have a great night at the last ball of the year. Everyone definitely remembered to dress to impress as they danced the night away. The event was enjoyed by all, especially the seniors who used this opportunity to bond with their entire through class one event out of a series of seniors' last events here at Assumption.

We also had a comedian on Thursday, April 2 at 8p.m. in Charlie's. The comedian was Greg Fitzsimmons, who has been a host on a radio show on Sirius, "Howard 101," and appears on VH1's "Best Week Ever." He is also working on several T.V. projects including a reality show with Andy Dick, a prime time game show called "Family Funds," and a reality show he sold to FOX. Based on his credentials, it was no wonder that he was the funniest comedian of the semester. As a great way to end the year, two Red Sox/Yankees tickets along with a ride to and from the game, dinner, as well as baseball apparel were raffled off to one extremely lucky audience member. This comedic performance was a nice way to end this year's series of comedians and is definitely the talk of the campus.

Now that you heard about the past events, we do have one rather exciting event coming up. This event is the Spring Concert. Every year Assumption has performers such as Dashboard Confessional, Ben Folds and Gavin DeGraw come to perform one fantastic musical performance in the Plourde. This year, like past years, will be one of the best Spring Concert's that Assumption has to offer. As mentioned, the artists are Sara Bareilles with Mat Kearney. Doors will open at 7p.m. and the concert will begin at 8p.m. You know you want to be a part of the event that everyone is talking about, so make sure you get tickets for one CABtastic night of music and fun.

Now that you got the 411, don't forget to look out for our events all over campus. Enjoy everything we have to offer and remember even if your week is jam packed with classes and activities, it will always be worthwhile to take a breather and make some time for CAB.
