That’s a Wrap!

It’s that time of year, and no I’m not talking about Christmas, I’m talking about Spotify Wrapped. Each year Spotify takes your listening data from January 1 to October 31 and piles it all together in a pretty graphic show that you can watch and then share on your social media.

Users can open up the Spotify app on their mobile device, it works for both Android and iOS, and see what they have been listening to. Not only does it give them their top songs in the form of a playlist, but it also reveal the total time spent listening, their top artists, top genres, and other quirky things such as their moods and listening personality. Although Spotify in general is available on desktop, Spotify Wrapped is only available on mobile. If you’re Wrapped is not showing up, then you can try updating the app and you should be fine.

If you’re anything like me than it is something you constantly think about throughout the entire year, there are times when I have turned to YouTube to listen to a song that I did not want messing up my data and other times that I purposefully replayed a song multiple times so that it would show up.

I started listening to my top artist in the beginning of October, and they ended up being my top artist which is crazy. Every year, however, I always find something that I am disappointed in and say that I will do better next year. I think I find an issue with it because it a brutally honest review of me as a listener and although I try to be cool, I can’t deny that I will listen to what I want.

If you haven’t already, feel free to share your Spotify Wrapped on your story and let the world know what you love.
