The Assumption Women’s Soccer team is dominating the field in their first stretch of games. Standing at an impressive five wins, zero losses, and two ties, the team is looking strong heading into next month’s Northeast 10 Conference Tournament.

This season, the Greyhounds are led by seniors Isabella Provost, Rose Connolly, Haley Brown, Ally Matz, Regan Davis, and graduate student Ashley Smith. With Head Coach Chip Warner and Assistant Coach Calvin Fox, the team has seen success on the field, only allowing five goals to be scored on them so far.

Freshman Elizabeth Schoeneberger leads the team in goals scored with six on the season. Behind her is sophomore Ava Normandin, who has scored two goals so far.

In the NE10 Conference, the team remains undefeated, beating both Southern Connecticut State University and Southern New Hampshire University. In their game against Southern New Hampshire, Schoenberger scored two goals in a 3-1 victory for the Greyhounds. Assisted by Normandin on both of them, the two players are proving to be rising stars for Assumption.

The Greyhounds have just gotten started in gearing up for the postseason. With seven games left to be played in the NE10 Conference, the team is hoping to continue adding to their win streak.

Come support Assumption in their next game on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 3:00 against Pace University on their home field.
