Our Mission: MUSE is Assumption University’s student-run literary magazine, where students submit works of writing, art, and photography to be published annually in a print magazine. Our mission is to bolster the creative community on Assumption’s campus by providing aspiring writers and artists a place to publish their work, as well as opportunities to workshop their pieces in a welcoming and growth-focused environment. Everyone has a creative voice, and MUSE wants yours to be heard.

Assumption University has always held a strong connection to the humanities and to writing in general. 

Ranging from the shining English department to our vast collection of student run publications, Assumption has always been an academically friendly place to writers and artists alike. 

The Provoc always strives to bring you well curated and well written news, and has done so for years unabridged.

In recent years, The Provoc has picked up the slack when it comes to creative works, and while we won’t stop publishing your creative works, Assumptions MUSE has returned! 

MUSE is Assumptions Literary and Creative works magazine, and takes Assumption students’ works to consider for publication.

MUSE has put out magazines on and off for just over five years at Assumption, and strives to put together a comprehensive, widely viewed, and artistically charged collection in both digital and physical forms!  

Assumption students have long enjoyed the benefits of a friendly publisher on campus, and now it’s your turn to ride the MUSE wave! Submissions sent by Assumption students are always held as top priorities; 

The MUSE team seeks to publish deserving works and authors above all else, and we greatly enjoy viewing and publishing your works!
