Cinema Worcester has a short, but exciting lineup for their November films! Cinema Worcester is the city’s only cinema that screens independent and foreign films. For November, they are showing “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You”, “Orwell: 2+2=5”, and “Blue Moon.” All of the films are from 2025.

“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” centers around Linda, a therapist who is struggling to cope with many factors in her life, including her daughter’s unknown illness and her missing husband. The A24 film is labeled as a psychological drama that features moments of dark comedy. The film was directed by Mary Bronstein and features a cast of familiar figures, such as Rose Byrne, A$AP Rocky, and Conan O’Brien.

Recently, On Late Night with Seth Meyers, Byrne described the film by stating, “It is a study in tension and anxiety, but it’s very funny…it’s, like, kind of a lot of different genres. It’s really original.”

“If I Had Legs I’d Kick You” will be shown at Cinema Worcester on November 6th and 7th at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On November 8th and 9th, Cinema Worcester is presenting the film at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Using George Orwell, who wrote “1984” and “Animal Farm”,  as a backdrop, “Orwell: 2+2=5” is a documentary about current examples of totalitarianism and its dangerous  impacts on society. According to Apple TV+,  the film “…interweaves clips, readings from Orwell’s diary, cinematic references, and modern-day footage to craft not only a portrait of the writer, but a fresh take on how prophetic his work has become.” The film was directed by Raoul Peck.

Cinema Worcester has showings of  “Orwell: 2+2=5” on November 13th and 14th at 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. On the 15th and 16th, it will be shown from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

The last film Cinema Worcester will be screening this November is “Blue moon.” Set in 1943, “Blue Moon” is a funny and dramatic biographical film about a critical moment in Lorenz Hart’s career. Hart was an American lyricist who was well known for working alongside Richard Rodgers and providing the lyrics to many songs in popular musicals and films. His most famous songs include “Falling in Love with Love,” “Johnny One-Note,” “Isn’t It Romantic,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” and of course, “Blue Moon.”

The film was directed by Richard Linklater and it stars Ethan Hawke as Hart. The cast also includes Margaret Qualley and Andrew Scott.

On November 20th and 21st, Cinema Worcester will screen “Blue Moon” from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm. The film will also be shown on November 22nd and 23rd at 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm.
