On the night of February 1st, the NBA world was shell shocked by an earth-shattering trade between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Luka Doncic was traded for Anthony Davis and some change. Mainly, Luke Doncic joins LeBron James as a tandem in the NBA with the second most storied franchise in the NBA.
Since the trade, the Lakers have been on a roll and recently went on an 8-game win streak before falling to their historic rival, the Boston Celtics, on March 8th. However, the Lakers have a legit contending position as the second-best team in the western conference.
Recently, there was a play where Luka looked up the court to see LeBron going towards the basket and a smile went from ear to ear on his face to show the happiness of playing with the second greatest player in NBA history, LeBron James. While Luka is not the athletic superstar he once was when he first entered the league, his offensive prowess is still unmatched, and he is a dangerous player at any time on the court.
Could this tandem get through the Thunder and make the finals? Although there is a lot of season left, and with LeBron recently injured, it would not be surprising if in a seven game series, the Lakers would win with ease. These NBA playoffs will be electric.
