Bregman and the New Rotation

Alex Bregman and the new look Red Sox have had a stellar spring training. Big free agent signing Bregman has 43 at bats this spring and has slashed 3 home runs and 12 hits while knocking in 10 RBI’s. He had a hot start and has cooled off a little, but with inconsistent playing time, that is bound to happen.
The former MVP may have a career year with his new squad. During the offseason, the Red Sox acquired their ace for the future in Garrett Crochet. He has not signed an extension yet, but with the Sox spending money, it is bound to happen.
In five games of spring training, Crochet has pitched 15.2 innings and has a 0.57 ERA. The most impressive stat however, is his strikeouts. Crochet is striking out hitters at an alarming rate and has accumulated 30 strikeouts in 15.2 innings. The hard throwing southpaw is living up to his potential and Sox fans will see the ace they have been hoping for since Chris Sale in 2018.
Beyond big names for the Sox, they have an elite farm system and have three prospects destined for greatness in Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, and Kristian Campbell.
Anthony is the number one prospect in baseball. He has had a slow spring, but with many highlight plays, including a home run in which opposing fans were yelling he was overrated right behind home plate.
Mayer, who was drafted in the first round of the 2021 MLB draft, has had a stellar spring training, hitting .333/.455/.983 with a couple of home runs. He has a chance to make the Sox roster and should be a good addition later down the line.
