Join the Republican Club for Open Mic Night

Do you have what it takes to make a room laugh? Have you ever wanted to find out? Luckily there is open mic night stand-up comedy coming to Assumption this month! The event will take place in Pierre‘s pub on Friday, Nov.14 from 9 PM to 11 PM.

Anybody is welcome to participate and watch. There will be prizes available for the top three performers.

The event is sponsored and organized by the Assumption Republican club, designed to spread the spirit of civil discourse and free speech with the rest of the campus community. Politics and comedy go hand-in-hand!

The only impact politics will leave on the night is with some of the prizes. The top performer will get to choose between a JBL Speaker, a Keurig coffee maker with mugs, and a package of Trump related merchandise. Second place will get to choose between the other two prizes left and the last one will be left to the third prize finisher.

No experience in comedy is needed. Anybody with a half decent joke is encouraged to give the microphone a try. You will have a story to tell whether you crush it or bomb it.
